NOTICE OF RE-OPENING:

Dear prospective One Smart Puppy client,

As of January 2010, One Smart Puppy will be re-open to work with New York City's dog and puppy owners seeking private positive-reinforcement training. In 2008-2009, my husband and I commited a year of service, volunteering with AmeriCorps. We just returned from San Diego, California, where we worked at an organization called Outdoor Outreach. The group takes underprivileged and at-risk youth on adventure trips like rock climbing, surfing and backpacking to build self-confidence and trust, among other things. I served as the Volunteer Coordinator.

Now that I am back, I will be accepting clients while I seek a full-time job at one of the reputable New York City animal shelters.

A note from Julie:
In addition to the recent name change of my company from Dog Gone Smart to One Smart Puppy, I was married on November 3, 2007 and have changed my name from Julie Sontag to Julie Sonenberg.

As always, my methods for One Smart Puppy will entail positive, dog-friendly, science-based learning approaches such as Classical Conditioning and Operant Conditioning to improve the symbiotic relationship between people and their companion dogs.
